La Huerta de Blend celebrated the 10th anniversary of Casa Cavia with a pop up by Julieta Caruso and Germán Martitegui

During the afternoon of Friday, October 4, La Huerta de Mix Gastronomía was the setting chosen to celebrate an exclusive culinary event, led by renowned Argentine chefs Julieta Caruso and Germán Martitegui. Attendees enjoyed an exceptional vegetarian menu, made with agroecological vegetables from this natural oasis, which became the stars of the night.

For the first time, Blend opened the doors of its celebrated orchard, the main supplier of Casa Cavia’s raw materials, to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the distinguished Palermo Chico mansion, with a pop up that also stood out for being an interactive proposal where Guests were able to tour this imposing outdoor space and taste exceptional culinary preparations. The event took place at El Abierto Tenis, located in the Saavedra neighborhood, where this ambitious natural project is located.

With Guadalupe and Juan Carlos García at the helm, Blend becomes a benchmark in the family business world that combines cuisine, architecture and the essence of the people who make up each of its spaces. This gastronomic group is made up of Casa Cavia, ORNO pizzeria, Asadero and the Piso Tres and El Abierto event rooms.

For its part, the Mixture Garden was born from the need to cultivate biodiversity and focuses on offering quality, fresh and chemical-free vegetables. On this occasion, during the event organized on the air at El Abierto Tenis to commemorate the 10th anniversary of Casa Cavia, the engineers in charge, Marcela Harris and Christian Krizaj, guided the attendees during the afternoon and evening on an intimate and informative tour about the crops that are carried out in this place. Through an edible and interactive landscape, visitors explored the rich variety of vegetation and had the opportunity to discover and take home fresh vegetables and aromatic herbs, such as beets, broccoli, mint and lettuce, which are harvested every two weeks to give life to the menus of the emblematic Palermo Chico mansion.

Gastronomic proposal with pure vegetables

The gastronomic proposal of the pop up held in the Huerta de Mixture, driven by the talent and dedication of Julieta Caruso and Germán Martitegui, was transformed into a true festival of flavors and culinary creativity where the exquisite agroecological vegetables of this sustainable natural environment stood out, which served as the basis for an innovative selection of tapas. At the center of the outdoor setting, an impressive deli table stood as the main attraction.

The setting evoked a country style, with tables, chairs and a cozy fireplace that added a touch of warmth to the night. The charming floral arrangements by Blumm, from Casa Cavia Florist, were the perfect detail that elevated the occasion to an unforgettable level.

The vegetarian menu was carefully prepared to be complemented by a selection of wines chosen by Delvis Huck, Casa Cavia’s head sommelier, from the Raquis, Otronia and Sierra Lima Alfa wineries. In addition, guests were able to enjoy signature cocktails created by Flavia Arroyo and Pablo Zitarosa, made with Singleton whiskey and Tanqueray gin. To complete the drink offering, Eco de los Andes was also present.

Grupo Blend Gastronomía commemorated the 10th anniversary of Casa Cavia by opening for the first time the garden that provides its fresh ingredients, through a pop up by Julieta Caruso and Germán Martitegui, which stood out for its extraordinary flavor and the incorporation of innovative proposals in each of the dishes, thus offering an authentic high-quality culinary experience.
