Germany goes into the next Nations League games with a significantly changed squad. Bosnia-Herzegovina and the Netherlands are waiting. Both games can be seen on free TV.
Julian Nagelsmann has to replace numerous players in the German squad. While the national coach was still optimistic at the beginning of the week, there were more cancellations due to injuries every day (also read “At the limit: How professional footballers suffer under the high stress”). A total of seven players are out, including important regulars such as Kai Havertz (knee), Jamal Musiala (hip) and Niclas Füllkrug (irritated Achilles tendon).
Since the national coach was forced to re-nominate, some newcomers can now even imagine their chances in the starting eleven. In attack, Nagelsmann is probably planning with Tim Kleindienst (Borussia Mönchengladbach), who replaces Niclas Füllkrug as the powerful center forward. Behind him is the enthusiastic striker Jonathan Burkardt (Mainz 05), who was also called up for the senior national team for the first time.
Germany games against Bosnia-Herzegovina live on RTL
How well the DFB team can compensate for the numerous failures will be shown this Friday at 8:45 p.m. against Bosnia-Herzegovina in the Bilino Polje stadium in Zenica. The game between the Germans and the Bosnian team led by Bundesliga star Ermedin Demirović will be shown live on TV on RTL and in the RTL+ stream.

Nagelsmann in need: These newcomers and returnees are in the DFB squad
The supposedly more difficult task awaits the DFB team on Monday, October 14, 2024. Germany meets the Netherlands at 8:45 p.m. The game is running live on ZDF. So far both teams are level with four points from two games. The international classic is likely to be a showdown for the championship lead. The last meeting in September, on the second matchday of the Nations League, ended in a 2-2 draw after a furious ups and downs.
If you can’t make it in front of the screen, you can follow the 90-minute full report of both games on the ARD info radio stations (for example NDR Info, HR Info). Other broadcasters such as NDR2 and WDR2 are now switching to their reporters in the stadiums.
Transparency note: The star is part of RTL Germany.
