The coaching decision at second division football team FC Juniors Oberösterreich has finally been made: Manuel Takacs, the interim head coach for the final games of the autumn season, has been confirmed as the main manager and upgraded. He has also been the sporting director of the juniors since the summer. He will continue to hold this position.
Born in Burgenland, he holds the UEFA A license and the UEFA Elite Junior license. “The situation of Juniors Upper Austria is not easy. I’m confident that in the second half of the season we’ll be able to get the necessary wins and points to develop the young players on the one hand, but also to stay above the line and stay in the second division. As a coach, I’m pleased to see the intensity and passion with which the boys go about their training sessions,” says new head coach Manuel Takacs.
President Franz Mayer is also pleased with the decision. “I’m glad that Manuel Takacs has decided to remain the head coach himself. This is the best solution for us. He has shown that he can make the team better and does everything to ensure that our club achieves its goals.”
Luka Pavlovic becomes assistant coach
After Maximilian Ritscher and Daniel Rozsa left the LASK support team, Luka Pavlovic complemented the FC Juniors Upper Austria coaching team as assistant coach and video analyst. Most recently, he worked for the youth team at SK Sturm Graz, where he was used, among other things, as a video analyst for all AKA teams.
The 30-year-old holds a UEFA A license and a UEFA elite youth license. Before his time in Austria, Luka Pavlovic worked in the youth team of Red Star Belgrade. “Luka Pavlovic was my absolute dream candidate for the position of assistant coach. In addition, he will be responsible for the video analysis of our team as well as for the opponent analysis. With his meticulous nature, he will enrich my coaching team at the juniors,” says head coach Manuel Takacs.
