Roger Taylor revealed that queen could release new music after almost 30 years. The legendary band posthumously released their fifteenth and final studio album, “Made In Heaven”in 1995 after the death of the leader Freddie Mercury in 1991.
In 2004, Queen began performing with Paul Rodgers as their lead vocalist before Adam Lambert took over the role in 2011. The latter recently played with the group on their massive ‘Rhapsody Tour’, which concluded in Tokyo in February.
Queen shared a rediscovered song with Mercury’s voice, “Face It Alone”in October 2022.
During a new interview with Uncut, drummer Taylor was asked if Queen could record and release new material. “I think we could”he responded.
“Brian [May] and I were talking the other day and we both said if we felt like we had good material, why not? We can still play. We can still sing. So I don’t see why not”.

What Brian May said about releasing new music with Queen
Last year, May revealed that Queen had “dabbled a little bit” into making new music with Lambert. “You just haven’t heard any of that,” the guitarist continued.
“It would have to be something so special that we felt we wanted to release it to the public.”
Lambert then acknowledged the “pressure” of Queen returning with new material. “If they are going to put out something new, it has to be of a certain level,” he explained.
“It has to be the right thing. I’ve always wondered if it’s appropriate for me to make new material. I feel like it scares me.”
In 2021, May said that making new Queen music “would have to be a very spontaneous moment”, but confirmed that recording sessions had taken place.
He added: “In fact, Adam, Roger and I have been in the studio trying things out, simply because they came up. But up to this point, we haven’t felt like anything we’ve done has hit the mark in the right way.
“It’s not that we’re closed to the idea, it’s just that it hasn’t happened yet.”
