The National Commission for Work in Private Homes defined a new salary increase for domestic workers which will be applied in November. This adjustment is part of the measures adopted for the last months of the year to update salaries in the sector.

Domestic employees who are also beneficiaries of the Universal Child Allowance (AUH) from the National Social Security Administration (ANSES) will see it reflected an increase of 3.5% in their income during the month of November.

This increase is linked to Consumer Price Index (CPI) for September, which was measured by the National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (INDEC). Payments will be made based on the completion of the National Identity Document (DNI) of each holder.

On the other hand, it is expected that the National Commission for Work in Private Homes (CNTCP) will soon announce the decisions regarding salaries for September and October. While the union proposes a 12% adjustmentemployers propose a 3% increase, to be paid in two stages.

How much will the amount of the AUH be for domestic workers?

In November, the AUH granted by ANSES will receive a 3.5% increase, reaching a gross amount of $90,862. In the case of AUH holders with children with disabilities, the amount will amount to $295,870.

Benefit of the Alimentar Card for domestic workers

In addition to the increase in the AUH, domestic service workers will be able to access the Alimentar Card, a benefit of the Food Program administered by the Ministry of Social Development and ANSES. The maximum amounts of this benefit in November will be:

  • Families with one child: $52,250
