“We know that when they attack leaders like this it is because they come for the rights of workers. They come for these state companiesthat’s why all the unions started a fight together,” said the unionist.

The measure will initially affect trains, ships and planes for 24 hours throughout the country. It remains to be known what the position of the collective sector will be regarding the announcement. The absence and doubt of the Automotive Tram Union can be explained because the union is negotiating a salary increase inside the mandatory conciliation period established by the Ministry of Labor. In this context, the UTA could not declare a strike until the conciliation expires, the October 28.

Despite the approach, the National Transportation Board maintains its decision. The Government and representatives of the CGT met – two weeks ago – and agreed on the formation of a tripartite table to advance issues of the labor agenda, salary recomposition and union participation in the May Council. If there is a solution to your demands, It is not ruled out that the October 30 strike will be lifted.
