“The Government has been proposing for some time that they are increasing the Universal Child Allowance and the Food Card and that reaches almost 100% of the basic food basket. I have no doubt that they have increased the moment, but there is a contradiction between the statement that it reaches almost 100% and that INDEC states that poverty – subject to the basic food basket – is rising“, he stated Daniel Arroyo (Unión por la Patria) and concluded: “My impression is that INDEC measures well and the problem is that due to the inflation levels, and beyond the significant increases that I value, it is far from 100%.”

That expression was taken up by Esteban Paulon (Federal Meeting) who analyzed that “there is a lot of story and little reality” and pointed out that “there is a loss in relation to the inflation of allocations that range between 4% and 8.3%.” The same position was that of Carla Carrizo (UCR) who considered that there is a breach of the Law 26,061 on Comprehensive Protection of the Rights of Girls, Boys and Adolescents: “We are not here to discuss how much can be lowered, but rather how much more can be raised.” In that framework, Julia Strada He asked the official about the decision deindex family allowances of the Budget percentage.

“We are convinced of the direction we are taking. Direct social investment is the best efficient way to reach those who need it most,” he summarized.
