The AOG Patagonia 2024 begins in Neuquén: important announcements are expected

The IAPG’s AOG Patagonia 2024 starts this Wednesday October 23 until Friday the 25th, with important conferences, activities and talks by experts, officials and the protagonists of the hydrocarbon industry. According to the organizers, a record turnout is expected, exceeding the 30,000 attendees.

“With halls full of news and trends, it will be the showcase of the hydrocarbon field, a space where the largest representatives of the industry, operators and suppliers will meet”they promise from the IAPG.

The exhibition, organized by the Argentine Institute of Oil and Gas (IAPG) and made commercially by Messe Frankfurt Argentinawill develop an agenda full of activities, throughout the three days in the DUAM Space, next to the Neuquén international airport.

What activities will there be at AGO Patagonia 2024?

The opening ceremony is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. in the Tromen Room. There, the president of the IAPG will be present, Ernesto López Anadónthe main CEOs of the hydrocarbon companies, governors, officials, legislators and mayors of several provinces such as Neuquén, Río Negro, Chubut, Mendoza and even Córdoba, who was specially invited.

The presence of Vice President Victoria Villarruel is also expected, who on the previous day already gave her first speech focused on the objectives and challenges that the development of Vaca Muerta poses for Argentina.

Both on Wednesday and Thursday the outstanding “Meeting with the CEOs”, where industry decision makers will provide their vision of current events, trends and investments.

On Wednesday from 5:30 p.m. to 5:50 p.m. they will speak Marcos Aranguren (CALFRAC) and Jorge Vidal (SLB).

From 5:55 p.m. to 6:25 p.m. it will be the turn of Horacio Turri (PAMPA ENERGÍA), Ricardo Markous (TECPETROL) and Catherine Remy (TotalEnergies).

Closing from 6:30 p.m. will be in charge of Horacio Marín, from YPFwho promised important announcements.

On Thursday, the CEO Meeting opens at 6:00 p.m. César Güercio (NRG Argentina) and Gustavo Astié (PECOM).

From 6:35 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. they will exhibit Germán Burmeister (SHELL ARGENTINA), Julián Escuder (PLUSPETROL) and Diego Trabucco (ACONCAGUA Energía).

It will also develop the 3rd Conference on Digital (R)evolution and Technological Innovation for Oil and Gas (JRED3), organized by the Geotechnology and Informatics Commission of the IAPG.

JRED3 is the update space for those interested in learning about current challenges and new trends.

Various topics will be explored such as: Industrial cybersecurity; Data strategy; Robotics and Process Automation; Biology and Biotechnology applied to P&G; Real-time operations, Geonavigation and Digital Deposit to mention a few.

For its part, in the “Conferences at the AOG”will delve into the different topics that mark the industry’s agenda, among which stand out: Sustainability; Human Resources; Diversity, Equity and Inclusion; among other topics.

Likewise, it is planned Business Rounds in which manufacturers and suppliers will be connected with the main oil and gas companies operating in the country and in the region.

AOG Patagonia 2024: 8th Young Oil & Gas Professionals Conference (JOG 8)

The 8th Young Oil & Gas Professionals Conference (JOG 8), organized by the IAPG Young Professionals Commission, will feature academic activities and disruptive spaces where new generations, students from recent years and young professionals in the hydrocarbon industry, will be able to unite ties with specialists in the sector.

“We young people took the initiative and held a day on Friday, October 25, dedicated to generations of professionals starting out in the industry, as well as advanced students and recent graduates interested in joining the Energy sector.”they remarked from the JOG.

“The objective of this conference is to discuss topics of interest in the professional field of those who are starting out in the industry and to give depth to strategic projects, energy transition, technological innovation, diversity and career development,” they added.

Dedicated to those beginning their steps in all areas of oil and gas companies, the JOG Day will be the venue par excellence to bring together the new generation of energy and seek answers.
