The transport unions ratified the realization of a national strike that will take place next Wednesday, October 30. In this context, the Automotive Tram Union (UTA) It has not yet established a position since it is holding meetings with the business sectors for a mandatory conciliation dictated by the Government that expires on October 28.
In this sense, the general secretary of the union, Roberto Fernandezannounced that next Friday they will define whether they join the force measure carried out by the rest of the transport unions: “At no time did we say that we were not going to join the force measure“.
The situation of the groups
The union has been demanding for several months an improvement that is in line with inflation in its income. In detail, the union’s claim is based on a basic salary made up of $1,160,000 for August, which then in September rises to $1,200,600, and in October $1,242,621. The increase would continue in November with $1,283,627 and finally in December it would reach $1,322,136plus a proportional increase for travel expenses.
The salary claim was crossed from the beginning by the conflict over national transport subsidies.
