The FBI did not immediately comment on the incident, however, together with the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) issued a joint statement in which they assure that “The United States government is investigating unauthorized access to commercial telecommunications infrastructure by actors affiliated with the People’s Republic of China.”
Last month, the United States charged three Iranians with participating in a hack targeting the Trump campaign.
