He October 28 marks World Judo Day. This has been happening since 2011 and the date was chosen because it was the day Jigoro Kano, the inventor of the martial art, was born. The main objective of this day is to unite all judokas in the world, making known the values ​​on which it is based.

Judo was created in 1884, and It began to be an Olympic sport in 1964. If translated from Japanese, it means “path of softness”, influencing physical, mental and emotional development through practice. After the creation of Jigoro Kano, it was Kyuzo Mifune who perfected his technique to bring it to what we know today.
