“Federals, a cry from the heart” is Quintela’s list that was rejected by the PJ electoral board due to an alleged lack of endorsements. The party body yesterday rejected the challenge presented against it by Jorge Yoma and Daniel Llermanos, representatives of the governor of La Rioja, and consecrated Cristina Fernández de Kirchner’s “First the Homeland” as the only list.

Now Quintela’s representatives will present an appeal through the PJ electoral board, which must be transferred to the federal court with federal jurisdiction of María Romilda Servini de Cubría. In that letter they will ask that “the flawed electoral process be suspended and new elections be called in the PJ,” as Yoma announced this morning to Scope.
The appeal before the electoral justice system does not request the party’s intervention but rather to guarantee the holding of the internal election that was scheduled for November 17 on a new date. Given the proximity of the calendar and the looming judicial conflict, Quintela’s list will propose February 23 or March 9 as a new date for the internal election, taking into account that the current party mandates expire at the end of March next year.
