Pérez Companc and Astie were accompanied by Torres at the time of the signing, but also by the general secretary of the Private Oil and Gas Union of Chubut, Jorge “Loma” Ávilathe president and CEO of YPF, Horacio Marín, and the Mayor of Comodoro Rivadavia, Othar Macharashvili, who expressed his support for the growth of the city.

The return of Pecom as an operator occurs after the acquisition of YPF in the Andes Project of the area Clover-Escalante, but also 50% of Central Camp-Cañadón Perdido, of which it will soon assume formal control. The other 50% is from Enap Sipetrol, which requires additional authorizations.

The total production of the areas is 10,250 barrels of oil per dayincluding the other 50% of Campamento Central-Cañadón Perdido. The total purchase involved an investment by Pecom of US$114,500,000.

The investment in the acquired areas will be carried out over the next three years and includes drilling activities, workover, pulling and the use of advanced recovery techniques, such as polymer injection.

Pecom returned to the energy sector in August 2015, consolidating itself as one of the main providers of services, works and products for the oil & gas, electric energy and mining industries. The company, which is part of a holding company with more than 70 years of experience, employs 7,900 people and has operations in several countries in the region. Today, with the takeover of the assets, it once again assumes the role of operator, a fundamental milestone in the history of the company.
