More than 240 Human Resources leaders from Argentina and the region met at the HRTrends by Bondaevent of the leading company in corporate benefits programs Bonda to debate the outlook for 2025 and the future of the sector. One of the most notable moments of both days was focused on the employee experience in companies. Laura Leszman, CEO and founder of BeX, recognized professional in People Experience, He stressed the importance of taking care of each stage of the employee’s life cycle and its direct impact on the employer brand. “It is not just about complying with processes, but about identifying and eliminating frictions that affect the daily lives of collaborators. Mercedes Bernardi, Client Development Sr. Manager Mercerpresented during the first day the study “Compensations in the crosshairs: 2024, a different dynamic”, where he shared strategies to manage compensations in a context of high inflation like the one Argentina is going through. “In an inflationary context like the current one, it is key that companies adopt flexible compensation strategies that not only maintain competitiveness, but also align with the expectations of employees. Agility and personalization will be decisive in retaining talent in environments changing,” he explained. According to the Mercer study, accumulated inflation in Argentina reached 87% between January and July 2024, while accumulated salary increases stood at 97%, and the registered private salary index reached 106%. However, the loss of purchasing power was 27% in the same period, reflecting the continued pressure on compensation strategies in the country.

For its part, Andres CamardonSales Manager Deelanalyzed the myths and realities about international payroll management, an increasingly relevant topic for Argentine companies with global operations. Camardón offered practical tools to streamline these processes and address their complexities. The study showed that payroll management in Latin America continues to be fragmented and decentralized, with an average of three solutions used per company, and 26% still using Excel spreadsheets. Among the main challenges identified are operational disintelligence, failures in data analysis and regulatory compliance risks. 94% of respondents indicated that having a unified solution would be key to improving efficiency and reducing risks in payroll management.
Already on the second day of the event, Francisco ScasserraSenior Director of PageGroupfocused his presentation on the importance of competitive compensation in the current economic context. In his presentation, he highlighted that, despite the growing salary dissatisfaction of professionals in Argentina (51% of respondents), many workers still do not actively negotiate their salaries, which poses challenges for companies in terms of talent retention. “Today, salary remains the most relevant factor for employee satisfaction, but it is not the only one. Companies that manage to combine periodic salary reviews with personalized benefits and well-being policies are the ones that will make the difference in talent retention in an increasingly competitive market.”
Both days included raffles that gave a special touch to the day: from courses from the 21st Century University and Arizmendieven a television Samsung 50 inches.
