Ungerath, who last played for Wacker Burghausen in the Regionalliga Bayern, has signed a contract for a year and a half with an option for a further year.
“We already observed Robin Ungerath in autumn. He’s a player with great prospects for us. Robin has taken an unusual route but has made his hits at each of his stops. He should continue with us right there and now gain a foothold in the Bundesliga,” emphasizes Wolfgang Fiala, sports director at SV Guntamatic Ried.
“I’m very happy that the move worked out. The talks with the club were very good. The level in the Bundesliga will definitely be noticeably higher than where I’ve played before. But I’m looking forward to being able to measure myself against my teammates and opponents who already have Bundesliga experience. I want to get used to it as quickly as possible and I trust myself to do it,” says Robin Ungerath.
