This was determined by a report in which the heads of the medical departments of each of the 28 clubs participated, compiled and informed by the Professional League.
“There are a total of 846 soccer players, of which 840 (99.29%) are vaccinated against COVID with at least one dose. Only 6 (0.71%) still do not have the vaccine and will do so in the coming days”explained the entity.
Of the total, 787 (93.02%) have applied two doses or a complete vaccination schedule with a single dose and 53 (6.98%) have only one dose.

For the start of the League Cup 2022, all soccer players, members of the technical bodies, and the referees who participate in the competition must have at least two vaccinations applied, as a result of an agreement that was signed with Argentine Soccer Players and the AFA.
Although it is not an obligation, with the intention of fulfilling that objective, a vaccination center will be installed on the AFA campus in the Buenos Aires town of Ezeiza for all players, members of technical bodies and referees who want to be inoculated against the coronavirus.
As a result of the large number of infections that they presented and still exist in the clubs of the Professional League, the leaders of the Executive Committee made the decision to delay the start of the Cup for a week, to avoid absences and allow recovered players to get ready before the season.
