Travis presented his new album with pure music and emotion at the Gran Rex theater

The wait was worth it and the fans had a night of pure music at the theater Great Rex with travis 2.jpg . As part of the tour “Raze the Bar tour”in which he presented his recent album “LA Times” The renowned Scottish band made the audience vibrate with new songs, classics and some pearls that the show had on Thursday night on Corrientes Avenue.

The almost two-hour presentation had the band members Francis Healy, Andy Dunlop, Dougie Payne and Neil Primrose in a great moment and in total harmony with the public.

“I’m a little nervous because I didn’t expect to see so many people,” confessed Francis Healyvoice and leader of Travis, after playing “Bus”, the first cut from his latest album.

What came next was a set-list with which fans could travel with songs from the different moments of the band from Scotland, in their 30-year career on stage.

Then, it gave way to the classics “Driftwood” and “Love Will Come Through”. To the surprise of their fans, they continued with “I love you anyways” and “Good feeling”from the band’s first album, released in 1997.

The excitement of the members of Travis was no wonder, given that in 2020 they planned to visit Argentina, but the pandemic did its thing and denied that chance.

The staging of the band from Glasgow had simplicity and impact, with games of lights and animations that accompanied the moments of the show in which Francis Healy not only excited but also with great warmth to talk with the audience and take a break between songs, recounting anecdotes and sensations of the Buenos Aires night.

Midway through the show, they played a string of hits like “Writing to reach You” (with a nod to “Wonderwall” by Oasis), a moment that gave rise to Healy, with her red hair, will tell the anecdote of the meeting that moved Liam Gallagher to tears.

In the final stretch of the show it sounded “Side”the world hit “Sing”, “Closer” and “Re-offender”. There was also room for “Raze the Bar”his most recent single with Chris Martin (Coldplay) and Brandon Flowers (The Killers).

The time for the encores arrived with a wonderful “Flowers in the window” performed almost a cappella with the four members singing at the foot of the stage in an execution with a touch of humor.

To the surprise of the audience, Travis followed up with a surprising version of “Baby, One More Time” (Britney Spears cover), “My Eyes”, “Selfish Jean” and give rise to a closing to the classic of the album “Why Does It Always Rain On Me?” from the album “The man who”.
