It is the first film in the Captain saga since Chris Evans said goodbye to the character in 2019’s Avengers: Endgame.
During the second day of D23 Brazil – A Disney Experience, Marvel Studios presented a new trailer and poster of Captain America: A New Worldwhich opens in theaters on February 13, 2025.
Anthony Mackiewho plays Sam Wilson/Captain America, and Danny Ramirezwho plays Joaquín Torres/Falcon, were present to greet fans before the new trailer was shown to the D23 Brasil – Uma Experiência Disney audience.
Mackie’s Falcon officially took on the mantle of Captain America in the series finale The Falcon and The Winter Soldier on Disney+ in 2021.
What Captain America: A New World is about
The film follows Sam Wilson who, after meeting with the recently elected president of the United States, Thaddeus Ross (Harrison Ford), finds himself in the middle of an international conflict. He must uncover the reason for a nefarious global plot before the true architect behind it throws the entire world into chaos.
In addition to Mackie and Ford, Captain America: A New World is starring Danny Ramirez, Shira Haas, Xosha Roquemore, Carl Lumbly, Giancarlo Esposito, Liv Tyler and Tim Blake Nelson.
The film is directed by Julius Onah and produced by Kevin Feige and Nate Moore. Louis D’Esposito and Charles Newirth are executive producers.
Marvel Studios’ Captain America: The New World opens in theaters on February 13, 2025.
