The president of the AFA, Claudio “Chiqui” Tapiareferred to the controversial inclusion of the influencer Spreen in Deportivo Riestra and stated that “There are many boys who take their lives for not reaching First Class”.
Coach Cristián Fabbiani’s decision to have streamer and influencer Iván Buhajeruk, better known as Spreen, play from the start against Vélez, attracted endless comments rejecting the marketing strategy of the Bajo Flores club.
To the regret of ‘Malevo’, Buhajeruk’s participation in the match against Vélez was not only unanimously rejected by the people but, this Tuesday, the Ethics Court of the Argentine Football Association (AFA) opened an investigation against the club for the inclusion of ‘Spreen’.

In addition, the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office for Gambling (FEJA) of the Buenos Aires Public Prosecutor’s Office investigates Fabbiani and Buhajeruk for “attracting bettors on illegal platforms.”
In the midst of all this context, who expressed himself was the president of the mother body of Argentine football, Claudio ‘Chiqui’ Tapia, who assured: “There are many kids who take their lives because they don’t make it to First Division. It’s what one dreams and aspires to, it’s very important to achieve a dream”.
“We train, we give it the importance it should have, because from the AFA we demand that the kids in the training categories study, (we ask them) the bulletins, which is the main thing and that they also train as people without them stopping dreaming. We know that a boy starts playing at 12 years old but when he reaches 20 or 21 years old it can be the best moment or the most difficult, because either the institutions give you a contract or you find that they don’t. “You have the possibility of not playing in the First Division,” he added.
Finally, the leader who has presided over the AFA since 2017 concluded: “When there are things that you really don’t like, you have to correct them. I understand that the Ethics and Disciplinary Court is working on this fact. Riestra apologized, these are things that have to be corrected because they cannot happen”.
