Buenos Aires rectors celebrated the measure of Axel Kicillof
For its part, Robba celebrated the decision of the Buenos Aires administration, after pointing out that the national government “paralyzed” investment in university infrastructure and assured that it has “superlative importance” because he will be able to resume a work that will benefit more than 3,000 students.
“It will be able to have a capacity of 19 classrooms and it will allow us overcome the building emergency that we had to decree due to the lack of financing of the current national government“he added.
The rector of the National Technological University (UTN), Rubén Soro, also highlighted the measure of the provincial government and maintained that, although it is not a task that Kicillof has to carry out, since it corresponds to the Nation, it is carried out in order to “bring the young people of Buenos Aires closer to the public university.”
“This is a breath of pure air in this suffocation to which public universities are being subjected,” he concluded.
In turn, Guillermo Tamaritrector of the National University of the Northwest of the Province of Buenos Aires (UNNOBA), added: “We are going to finish a 3,000-square-meter project that has almost 80% progress in classrooms and laboratories. At the time it was financed by the national government and since December of last year it was defunded. This building will have a very important role in undergraduate, postgraduate and cultural activities.but at the same time it will have an impact on the rest of the university buildings that will be more freed up.”
