The resolution aims to simplify the procedures to obtain the certification of auto parts, in particular tires, since it eliminates “redundant requirements and aligns the process with existing regulations“.

Likewise, he maintains that the measure seeks to unify the criteria and requirements for all auto parts and safety components, “ensuring a consistent approach throughout the sector.”
Context and key points
Previous regulations: Resolution 25/2007 introduced additional requirements for tires regarding quality, traceability, guarantees and responsibility of manufacturers and importers.
These requirements are now incorporated into other current regulations, such as Resolution 166/2019 and Law 24,240 (Consumer Defense).
As mentioned in the regulations, the Justification is that it was detected that maintaining a separate regulation for tires generates duplication of processes and unnecessary administrative burden. Therefore, “simplification seeks to facilitate the marketing of products and reduce bureaucratic barriers.”
The resolution will come into force the day after its publication in the Official Gazette.
