The governor of Chubut, Ignacio “Nacho” Torresannounced this Tuesday the elimination of 168 political positions in the provinceas well as a “gnocchi cleanse,” in addition to sanctions for more than 14% of state employees, accused of failing to comply with their obligations.

The measures are given within the framework of the Comprehensive Plan for the Reorganization of the State, which includes the elimination of 168 political positions considered “inefficient” and the dismissal of “gnocchi” contracts who received their salary but did not come to work.

Reduction of public positions in Chubut

After carrying out a Census of Public Employees, Ignacio Torres eliminated 168 political and hierarchical positions in government structures, made up of 40 directorates, 21 general directorates, 7 deputy directorates, 37 department heads, 20 cabinet advisors, 21 division heads and 8 undersecretaries, inter alia.

“The reduction of public positions was a commitment that we assumed from the beginning of the administration and that, after the data obtained by the Census, we will be able to fulfill,” said the president through his account on the social network X.

“If we do not make the decision, from the State, to put an end to these scams for taxpayers, everything will remain the same. “It is not a minor decision: this census, which was carried out for the first time in the province, gives us the tools to make a more efficient State,” he added.

Based on the results of the Census, the Government of Chubut made the decision to lay offl 0.3% of the 46,000 public employees in the province “for not going to work”, administratively sanction 13% “for not taking the census”, and the salary suspension of 1.3% “for being in irregular work situations ”.

In this regard, Torres pointed out: “Another commitment that we assumed from the beginning was that the fanning in our province would end. It is very important because there is a cultural change that implies that the representatives of State workers represent, precisely, those who get up early to go to work.”

“There are agents assigned to receive a provincial salary, but who are outside the province: that is wrong and will continue to be wrong. These cases will be eliminated regardless of surnames, political affiliations or when they entered. “There will be no exceptions.” he added.

Likewise, Torres announced the implementation of the 3×1 Law for income to the State until 2018. This means that, for there to be entry into the public administration, there must be three withdrawals, withdrawals or retirements in similar positions.

Competitions

On the other hand, the Governor anticipated that both entry into public administration in the three branches of the State of Chubut, as well as all relocations and recategorizations, must be done through the implementation of competitions.

“After many years of irregularities, injustices and positions without competition, we are going to guarantee the corresponding administrative procedure for recategorizations, relocations, transfers and the taking possession of hierarchical positions,” manifested

Another of the measures announced is educational support so that the 6,080 agents who did not complete their primary or secondary studies, according to the results of the Census, can obtain their degree.

“Each minister will have the responsibility, when appointing someone, to choose, train and train those who have already been working for a long time within the State, and absolutely no one will enter without prior competition. In this way, no one will enter because they are someone’s friend and, therefore, the State will be more efficient. This is what we are looking for to improve the quality of life for all Chubut residents,” said the governor.

Finally, it was reported that around 6,500 public employees are close to retiring, so a personnel review will be carried out according to age and contributions, and then retirement procedures will begin.
