Amin Younes has a new club: after leaving Frankfurt, the German international is moving to Saudi Arabia.
The Saudi Arabian first list al-Ettifaq has signed the eight-time German international Amin Younes. The club from Dammam officially announced this on Sunday.
Younes has received a contract with the team, where ex-Mainzer Robin Quaison also plays, until 2024 – al-Ettifaq will not pay a fee for the 28-year-old.
Younes without a future in Frankfurt
Younes left Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt just a few days ago, with his loan from SSC Napoli being terminated prematurely. Younes has been released from training and games since September.
“Since last autumn, everyone involved has been working on a common solution to the situation – and has now reached an agreement that is satisfactory for all parties: for the player, Naples and last but not least Eintracht Frankfurt,” said SBU sports director Markus Krösche.
