Within the framework of his agenda in Córdoba, the Chubut president met with his counterpart, Martin Llaryora, at the Provincial Government House, where they agreed on the need to decentralize resources that today are centralized in the Nation. “The central government collects taxes with specific allocations for routes, ports and public works, but they are not executed. These taxes must be eliminated or decentralized,” Torres stressed after the meeting.

In addition, Torres participated as a speaker in a panel organized by La Generación Argentina on the campus of Universidad Siglo 21, focused on strengthening young political leaders. There he insisted on the need for consensus for a budget that promotes a productive and federal model.
Regarding the possibilities of agreement, Torres was optimistic and assigned a score of 7 out of 10. “It is essential that the budget defends the work and effort of Argentines. We cannot continue to be fragmented between the model of the Federal Capital and that of the interior,” he concluded.
