The Steinbach Black Wings remain victorious in their sixth game since the international break: But they need a lot of offensive power against Villacher SV to achieve the success they ultimately deserve. An early 2-0 lead thanks to goals from Patrick Söllinger, who had scored his first goal in the Bundesliga away in Villach, and Brian Lebler (5th, 6th) supposedly put Linz on the road to victory. The defense, which was so solid on Friday in Ljubljana, was defeated for the first time in the first third by Philipp Lindner (12th). Shawn St-Amant restored the two-goal lead in the first period (19th).

The first line of attack around center Graham Knott, who recorded three assists, was decisive in the game against Villach. There was already a corresponding motivation before the game: Stewart Knott, Graham’s dad, was entrusted with the honorable task of reading out the starting six before the game. An emotional moment for the Knotts because about a year ago a trip to Europe would have been unthinkable due to illness.
