Nikola Vlasic has been the Rossoneri’s preferred candidate for some time. But now a competitor turns into poker.
Italy’s runner-up AC Milan faces competition for midfield star Nikola Vlasic. the Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Zenit St. Petersburg has made an offer of 25 million euros for the game designer from Premier League rivals CSKA Moscow.
Zenit should now be ahead of the Rossoneri. Although they have already reached an agreement with Vlasic, they have not yet made a concrete offer. ZSKA estimates the value of the 23-year-old at 30 million euros. However, the capital city club is struggling with financial difficulties and could accept the Zenit offer.
Milan: Nikola Vlasic is under contract with CSKA until 2024
Vlasic, who made four appearances for Croatia’s national team in the European Championship finals, is a possible successor to Hakan Calhanoglu at Milan.
He left the club a few weeks ago for Inter.
Vlasic was considered a super talent at his long-time club Hajduk Split years ago and moved to Everton FC in 2017.
There he did not prevail, was loaned to CSKA and committed by the Muscovites in 2019 for almost 16 million euros. His contract runs until 2024.
