Finally good news for Jens Lehmann: A German league is expanding its offerings in English-speaking countries and is relying on celebrities.
The Baller League is relying on football celebrities for its expansion. The small-field league will also be played in Great Britain and the USA next year. On the British island, former England internationals Gary Lineker, John Terry and Alan Shearer, among others, are employed as team managers, as the organizers of the Baller League announced.

The Baller League started in Germany two years ago with Lukas Podolski and Mats Hummels as prominent ambassadors. Other small-field leagues include the Kings League with ex-Barça star Gerard Pique and the Icon League with ex-German international Toni Kroos.
