With Julian Alvarez and Angel Correa as outstanding figures, the team led by Diego Simeone was on the verge of qualifying for the round of 16.

At the Epet Arena, the Argentines signed two doubles, contributing decisively to a victory that left the team with nine points, seeking to consolidate their place on the last date against Bratislava.

On the other hand, Inter Milan beat RB Leipzig 1-0 at the San Siro stadium and took the lead in the group in the Champions League.

The only goal of the match was an own goal by Castello Lukeba after a header by Stefan de Vrij. Lautaro Martínez, starter and captain of the team, did not score, but was fundamental in Simone Inzaghi’s scheme.

With 13 points, Inter depends on itself to ensure qualification in its next match against Bayer Leverkusen.

Atalanta also celebrated a resounding victory by defeating Young Boys 6-1 in Switzerland. Mateo Retegui shone with a double, scoring the first and third goals for the Italian team, which remains undefeated in the tournament.

In addition to Retegui, Charles De Ketelaere and Lazar Samardzic stood out, who completed the scoring. This result leaves Gian Piero Gasperini’s team with 11 points, just two behind the leader Inter, in a tight table where Barcelona and Liverpool also compete for the top positions.

Meanwhile, Barcelona beat Stade Brest 3-0 for the fifth matchday where, with a double, Robert Lewandowski reached 100 goals in the Champions League, something that only Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo had done.

In the tenth minute of the first half, the Polish striker accurately executed a penalty, deceiving the rival goalkeeper and opening the scoring for his team. That goal, in addition to putting Barça ahead, placed him in the exclusive club of the top historical scorers of the continental tournament.

Since his debut in the Champions League in 2011 with Borussia Dortmund, Lewandowski has proven to be a lethal striker. With the German team he scored 17 goals, and in his time with Bayern Munich he reached 69 goals, establishing himself as one of the most effective attackers in Europe.

In England, Manchester City suffered a surprising draw against Feyenoord after having been up 3-0 on the scoreboard. Anis Moussa, Santi Giménez and David Hancko were the protagonists of the comeback that left the locals mired in their crisis.

The team led by Pep Guardiola seemed to have ended a streak of five consecutive defeats thanks to goals from Erling Haaland and Ilkay Gündogan, but an impressive reaction from the Dutch team in the last fifteen minutes of the match changed the result.

In Germany, Bayern Munich achieved a narrow victory against Paris Saint-Germain by 1-0, with a goal from Kim Min-Jae after an error by goalkeeper Matvey Safonov in a corner taken by Joshua Kimmich.

This result places the Bavarian team in a more favorable position to advance to the round of 16, while the Parisians, led by Luis Enrique, see their continuity in the tournament in danger.

On the other hand, Milan continues to show signs of recovery in the competition thanks to the great moment of Christian Pulisic and beat Bratislava 3-2. The American scored his third goal in five games in this edition of the Champions League, opening the scoring in the match against the Slovak club.

Pulisic took advantage of a pass from Tammy Abraham and defined with precision for the partial 1-0, while Rafael Leão and the Englishman himself sealed the victory.
