Dazn secures TV rights for Bundesliga conference
Bitter pill for the pay-TV channel Sky: From next year, the Saturday conference of the Bundesliga will be broadcast by the streaming provider Dazn.
The re-allocation of the television rights for the Bundesliga causes a tremor: Sky doesn’t go away empty-handed, but it will lose the conference call on Saturday afternoon for the coming season – a bitter loss for the pay-TV broadcaster. Instead, the streaming provider Dazn will continue the cult format.

An official confirmation of the matching information from the DPA news agency and the “Bild” newspaper is not yet available. The DFL does not want to announce the result of the rights auction until Thursday. It is still unclear who will win the TV rights for the second Bundesliga. It was also not known how much money the deal would bring in for the professional clubs.
In addition, a free TV live package is also available. It includes one live game on the 1st, 17th and 18th Bundesliga matchdays, one on the 1st matchday of the second Bundesliga as well as the relegation games of the first and second leagues and the Supercup.
The allocation of the rights for free-to-air television has not yet been completed. It is uncertain whether ARD will again be the first to broadcast the summary in the “Sportschau”.
