The General Directorate of Customs This Tuesday, a procedure was carried out at the Cargo Terminal of the Ministerio Pistarini International Airport, which resulted in the discovery of an exorbitant amount of merchandise with irregularitiessuch as trademark fraud and the lack of security certifications.
Said control, carried out in the Ezeiza Import Warehouseintercepted more than 40 shipments full of merchandise whose value was estimated to amount to several million dollars.

Among what was seized there are products that potentially represent serious risks to people’s health, such as liposuction machines and X-ray devices without proper ANMAT certification. In turn, steroids (with syringes) were found without endorsements, deepening the irregularities in health matters.
On the other hand, fake products were found, with inscriptions of brands such as Rolex, Louis Vuitton, adidas and Ray-Banamong others. Under that line, they would be in violation of Law No. 22,362 (Trademark Law).
Finally, the presence of watches, electronic products (high-end cell phones and computers, smartwatches, external memories and headphones) and professional audio equipment (hi-fi amplifiers, DJ turntables and studio microphones). The General Directorate of Customs communicated these findings to Justice, which could lead to legal action against those responsible for the irregularities.
