The use of AI in hotels and constructions, according to Bill Gates

The billionaire said that in less than ten years, Robots will take on job positions both in hotels and in construction. This would be due to the potential of AI to perform complex tasks and how beneficial it can be for time optimization. For example, he highlighted its use in automation of administrative tasks in officessince it advanced much faster than that of factory tasks.

On the other hand, Bill Gates explained that the use of AI would promote his vision of “a PC on every desk”, since, as he predicted, the main means of programming will be the natural languageso everyone would have a coding assistant, facilitating more efficient data navigation and business management, eliminating the need for specialized software.

Additionally, implementing AI in a job could lead to a integrated tool system instead of having hundreds of applications. “We will all have an agent who will assist us in our tasks. This will know how to identify which parts are important enough for us to take the time necessary to understand them,” Gates elaborated in the podcast.
