The president of Brazil recovered after surgery for an intracranial hemorrhage. Doctors indicated that you can resume normal work activities, but should avoid long-haul flights.
The president of Brazil Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva was discharged from the hospital this Sunday and will go to his home in Sao Paulo, according to his medical team at a press conference. The surprise came from the president himself, who surprisingly appeared in good spirits in the middle of the presentation where he announced his return home after several days hospitalized.
Lula has recovered well and can resume normal work activities, but should avoid long-haul flights, the team added. He is also expected to undergo a CT scan on Thursday before returning to the capital, Brasilia.

The press conference was interrupted by Lula himself, who appeared in the auditorium as a surprise, already dressed and ready to leave the hospital, but wearing a Panama hat to, as he admitted, hide the treatment due to his vanity.
The president made a short statement to thank him for the care, admit that he was scared when he found out about the amount of liquid (blood) spilled on his head and warn that he is ready to work and resume his activities as president.
Roberto Kalil, chief medical officer who led the intervention and care procedure for the president, clarified that the leader will be able to resume his normal activities as president, but that he will have to work moderately for at least the next 60 days and that his physical activities will be completely restricted.
“I want to thank God, who has taken care of me in a very generous way. He took care of me when I had cancer in 2012. He took care of me when I was flying over Mexico for 5 hours, a delicate moment. And God was very generous in taking care of me when I fell in the bathroom “said Lula through a post he shared on his social network account X (formerly Twitter).
The doctors added that international travel was out of the question until further notice, but that the president could travel to the country’s capital, Brasilia, if everything goes well in his medical examination.
This weekend Lula had already shown signs of improvement when he published a video on his networks to thank the support after the two surgeries. “I am firm and strong!” wrote the president, in a film in which he was seen walking and smiling.
