This is how things continue at the Darts World Cup in London

Just over two thirds of the Darts World Cup are over. But the really hot games are yet to come. What’s coming up in the tournament at Ally Pally in the coming days.

The time between Christmas and New Year’s Eve is traditionally particularly busy at the Darts World Championship in London. From December 27th to 30th, six games will take place every day, including the third round and the round of 16.

The Australian Damon Heta and Luke Woodhouse from England will kick things off after the holidays on Friday (1:30 p.m./Sport1 and DAZN). In the evening (from 8 p.m.) not only the former world champions Peter Wright (Scotland) and Gerwyn Price (Wales) will be challenged, but also defending champion Luke Humphries. The English leader has a mandatory task to master against Nick Kenny.

Littler plays very late

On Saturday (2.45 p.m.) things will also be interesting for darts Germany. Ricardo Pietreczko is the last remaining athlete competing against last year’s English semi-finalist Scott Williams and is a slight outsider. Pikachu, as Pietreczko is called, spent Christmas in London.

On Saturday evening, among others, star player Michael van Gerwen (Netherlands) and England’s whiz kid Luke Littler will be playing. The 17-year-old top favorite will play the last game of the evening against veteran Ian White (10.30 p.m.).

After the remaining four third round games, the round of 16 begins with two games on Sunday (from 9:15 p.m.). The remaining six round of 16 matches will take place on December 30th. There is no play on New Year’s Eve. In the new year, the rest of the tournament will be played in the quarterfinals. The final takes place on January 3rd (9 p.m./DAZN and Sport1).
