Details of the explosive beepers with which Israel attacked members of Hezbollah were revealed

Three months after the attack, two former Mossad agents – the Israeli intelligence agency – revealed the details of the attack that surprised the entire world due to its effectiveness and unpredictability. After what happened, the country led by Benjamin Netanyahu affirmed that the attack was directed only against members of Hezbollah, but among the victims too there were civiliansaccording to Lebanese officials.

Israel’s historic attack on Hezbollah through beepers and walkie-talkies

It is Tuesday, September 17, when chaos breaks out in the city of Beirut, capital of Lebanon: hundreds of electronic devices – known as beepers or walkie-talkies – suddenly explode in the pockets and hands of their owners. The case takes over the city and the political, Muslim paramilitary group. Days later, the authorities of the Asian country confirm the death of 42 people, plus thousands of injured.

Israel’s attack on Hezbollah perpetuated just 3 months ago caught the world’s attention due to its peculiarity. It was no ordinary bombing raid or mission. It was through a sophisticated system of controlled explosions that the country led by Netanyahu managed to strike the blow against the terrorist group.

In the midst of a conflict in the Middle East region that seems far from over, two former agents of the Mossad – identified as Michael and Gabriel – gave an interview to the American media CBS where they revealed details of the planned attack. According to one of the agents, Hezbollah bought approximately ten years ago 16,000 walkie-talkies at a “good price” of what would turn out to be a fake company.

“We have an incredible variety of possibilities to create foreign companies that cannot be traced back to Israel,” Michael explained. “Ghost companies on other ghost companies to affect the supply chain in our favor“he explained.

In this sense, the former intelligence agent added: “We create a fictional world. We are a global production company. We write the script, we are the directors, the producers, the main actors, and the world is our stage“.

Two years after the attack, as reported by CBS, the Israeli operation was expanded to include pagers – or beepers – to the attack. At that time Israel’s intelligence had discovered that Hezbollah was buying these devices to a Taiwanese company called Gold Apollo.

Israeli intelligence then created a fake company that used that same name—Gold Apollo—to assemble explosive-equipped pagers, without the parent company realizing it. “When they buy from us, “They have no idea that they are buying Mossad.”stated the former agent identified as Gabriel.

Once the devices were infiltrated, the former agents detailed that the explosions were caused when the Mossad feared that Hezbollah would become suspicious. The explosions caused commotion throughout Lebanonwith detonations everywhere, including supermarkets. Hospitals were overwhelmed with victims, many of whom were mutilated. Thousands of people, including civilians, were affected by the massive Israeli attack.

Currently, between the Middle Eastern country and Hezbollah there is a ceasefire, signed on November 27which will extend through 60 days. The agreement was mediated by the United States and France and seeks to put a stop to the almost 14 months of combat between both actors.

Israel dismantled a Hezbollah tunnel in southern Lebanon where smuggling operations were taking place

The Israeli Army dismantled an underground tunnel associated with Hezbollah’s elite Radwan unit in southern Lebanon. As detailed by the military authorities, it was the 300th Brigade, with the support of engineering forces, that was in charge of dismantling and eliminating the 100-meter underground route that connected to a terrorist hideout.

In detail, in the tunnel the Israeli troops found explosives, rifles, anti-tank missiles, observation systems and machine gun positions directed towards Israeli posts. A command center with rocket launchers that had been used during the war was even discovered.

The armed forces of the country led by Netanyahu confiscated and destroyed all the material along with the underground structure. “The Army continues to eliminate threats in southern Lebanon in compliance with the ceasefire agreements“said the official statement from the forces

The alleged cessation of attacks between Israel and Hezbollah, in force since November 27, establishes that the forces of the Lebanese group They must withdraw north of the Litani River within 60 days. For their part, Israeli troops must completely desist from their occupation of southern Lebanon. Despite this, Israel maintains operations in the region and neutralized several Hezbollah fighters in recent weeks.
