ANMAT banned various perfumes and flavorings from a brand

The national administration made its measure official through publication in the Official Gazette. According to the authorities, they did not have the corresponding health records.

The National Administration of Drugs, Food and Medical Technology (ANMAT) prohibited the production, marketing and distribution of various perfumes and flavorings of the brand “Sapphire” throughout the national territory and on online sales platforms. The measure was made effective by the authorities through the Provision 11369/2024 published in the Official Gazette of the date.

In the text of the resolution, the ANMAT rated these products as “illegal“. In detail, they had irregularities in its marketing and labelingin addition to not presenting the corresponding health records.

In detail, the brand affected by the national administration’s provision is “Sapphire“. The investigation of the products began as a result of “a complaint received by the Home Health Service of the Department of Home Health, Cosmetics and Personal Hygiene Products, which became aware of the marketing of branded home health products. “Sapphire”, without registration before this Administration”as detailed in the Provision.

Given this, the Home Health sector verified that Neither the establishment nor the products are registered with the ANMAT and appropriately contacted the brand to report the fact. Despite this, the administration received no response.

For its part, the Health Authority of the Province of Buenos Aireswhich reported that no records of the establishment or products were found in its jurisdiction.

The provision became effective after its publication in the Official Gazette of that date.

Consequently, they were discontinued from sale to the public since these items lacked the necessary health records and were marketed with labels that did not comply with current regulations. including false or incomplete information, depending on the organism.

Given this, the ANMAT decided to prohibit the use, marketing and distribution throughout the national territory of “Zafiro” brand home health products, through physical stores or on electronic sales platforms. All advertising of the affected brand’s articles was also banned.

On the other hand, a “health summary to Zafiro by Martin Alejandro Cardozo” as responsible for “the products and for non-compliance with health regulations applicable that they were indicated ut-supra”.
