How to watch Germany vs Brazil live and free
Shortly before the handball world championship, the DHB team plays two test games against Brazil. Fans can watch both games live – one on stream and one on TV.
After the silver coup at the Olympic Games, the German team also wants to impress at the Handball World Championship. “The goal is of course to win the group,” said national coach Alfred Gislason recently and also gave an outlook on the knockout round: “The dream of the semi-finals is always there, that never changes.”
Before the team around captain Johannes Golla plays the first game at the World Cup in Croatia, Norway and Denmark on January 15th, there are still two tough tests for the DHB selection.
ZDF shows handball test games
On Thursday, January 9th, the DHB team will meet Brazil in Flensburg. Kick-off is at 6:30 p.m. The test game is not live on TV, but it is. This will be available on the public broadcaster’s homepage and in the media library from 6:20 p.m. So all you need is a stable internet connection to watch the game.
The German team will play their last test match before the World Cup in Hamburg on Saturday, January 11th. The opponent is again Brazil. Kickoff is then at 4:20 p.m. And ZDF broadcasts the game live on TV. A free stream in the media library is also available.
Gislason: “Happy that we were able to win the Brazilians as opponents”
The test games are a final benchmark before things get serious. “I’m very happy that we were able to win the Brazilians as opponents,” said national coach Gislason about the South Americans. “This is a very good team that plays European handball and will challenge us very much.”
The DHB selection will move into their World Cup quarters in Silkeborg, Denmark on January 13th. Two days later, Gislason’s team plays its first group game against Poland in neighboring Herning.

Handball World Cup 2025 in three countries
The World Cup will take place from January 14th to February 2nd, 2025 in Denmark, Norway and Croatia. Germany plays its preliminary and main round games in Herning, Denmark. Oslo and the Croatian cities of Zagreb, Varazdin and Porec are also among the venues. If the DHB team reaches the knockout round, it continues in Oslo. The medals will also be awarded in Norway’s capital on the final weekend.
