UFL should compete with the FIFA series in the future. With the presentation of Cristiano Ronaldo as the cover star, a first statement has now been made.
Game developer Strickerz Inc. has released gameplay scenes of its new video game UFL for the first time. However, the highlight of the presentation of the football simulation, which competes with the FIFA series, was the introduction of United star Cristiano Ronaldo as the new brand ambassador.
In addition to the Portuguese, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Roberto Firmino, Romelu Lukaku and Kevin de Bruyne are among the figureheads of UFL. Strikerz Inc. Sporting, Borussia Mönchengladbach, Besiktas, West Ham United, AS Monaco, Shakhtar Donetsk and the two Glasgow clubs were able to win over clubs.
EA Sports faces competition: UFL is scheduled to appear in 2022
Ronaldo has appeared as a cover star in the past. In 2017, EA Sports signed him to the front of FIFA 18. Long-time competitor Pro Evolution Soccer, which was renamed eFootball last year, has even featured CR7 on the cover four times – most recently at PES 2021 together with Lionel Messi .
With UFL there is now a new player who wants to challenge EA for the status of the most popular football game. The simulation was only presented at Gamescom in August. The release is expected later this year.
