It was in the offing, now it’s fixed! Adama Traore moves from Wolves to Barca and thus returns to his old place of work.
FC Barcelona have signed attacking player Adama Traore from Wolverhampton Wanderers. The Catalans officially announced this on Saturday evening.
The 26-year-old, whose contract with Wolves runs until 2023, will initially be loaned out until the end of the season. The Blaugrana then have a purchase option, reportedly worth €30m, which should tie Traore to Barca for five years.
Perfect return: Traore strikes again for Barca
With that, Traore returns to his old place of work. The right-footed player already played in the Barca youth and appeared four times for the professionals. Traore moved to Wolverhampton in 2018 via Aston Villa and Middlesbrough. Traore has made 20 league appearances for Wolves this season (one goal).
The Spanish national team player has already been linked with a return to Barcelona several times in recent transfer windows.
Traore is Barca’s third winter signing. Previously, the Spaniards already committed and the clubless Dani Alves.
