NBA: Hartenstein and Thunder lose top game

Isaiah Hartenstein and the Oklahoma City Thunder leave the field as losers for the first time after 15 wins in the NBA. Daniel Theis also has to accept defeat.

The Oklahoma City Thunder’s winning streak with German NBA professional Isaiah Hartenstein has broken after 15 successes in a row. Oklahoma, the undisputed leader of the Western Conference, lost the top game to the East leader Cleveland Cavaliers 122:129. As a result, the Thunder missed catching up with Cleveland in the overall record. The Cavaliers now lead the league with 32 wins and just four losses.

Hartenstein once again impressed with a strong performance and had 18 points and eleven rebounds. The best thrower of the game was Thunder star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander with 31 points. Jarrett Allen stood out for the hosts with 25 points.

Defeat for Pelicans and Theis

Meanwhile, the New Orleans Pelicans’ short interim high with German world champion Daniel Theis seems to be over again. The Pelicans lost their home game against the Portland Trail Blazers 100:119. It was the second defeat in a row for New Orleans after the team had briefly caused a stir with two wins in a row.

As usual, Theis played around a third of the game and scored six points. He also secured six rebounds. The best player in the game was Deni Avdija from the Trail Blazers with 26 points.
