There are still a few steps missing to victory. Even though she says she’s not a great hiker, Lindsey Vonn is ready for the few missing steps to the top. “Everything isn’t finished at 40. You can do anything you want with very hard work,” said the ski great from the USA. On Saturday, Vonn enjoyed sixth place in the St. Anton downhill – her first in the World Cup in six years. Not only the audience bowed, but also the ÖSV runners.

The 40-year-old celebrated in St. Moritz before Christmas with a partial knee prosthesis as a Super G-14. a successful comeback. The now ex-pensioner skied her last World Cup downhill before the Arlberg race on January 19th, 2019 in Cortina d’Ampezzo (9th), followed by the bronze medal on February 10th at the World Championships in Åre. The winner of 43 races in this discipline started her second downhill career in St. Anton.
