Lukas Podolski apologizes after a bad foul: “There were emotions”
Former national player Lukas Podolski apologized on social media after a serious foul at an indoor soccer tournament in Katowice.
“There were emotions on the pitch, but after the game there was unity. Sorry for the hard foul. All the best for the season,” wrote the 39-year-old offensive player from Gornik Zabrze on the X portal about a photo with the fouled man, which he wrote gave jersey.
As videos on social networks show, the former Cologne player fouled his opponent from third division team Wisloka Debica hard shortly before the end. When the score was 4:1 in the game for third place, Podolski went for a tackle and caught his opponent with his open sole at knee height.
