The head of REFSA explained that the province is making efforts not to increase the price of the rate even further. “Formosa does not charge provincial taxeswhich means that the Provincial Treasury contributes more than $6,000 million annually to support a rate, while the other provinces collect provincial taxes and other charges,” he said.

TOGiven such a percentage of increases, De Vido pointed out against the Formosa opposition: “they actively campaigned for Milei to win and today they are accomplices of his government by voting for everything he asks for in the National Congress. One of the consequences of this complicity is the increase of more than 2,000% in the price of electrical energy.”
The criticism did not stop there. For the head of REFSA, the opposition in his province tries to confuse the people of Formosa “through trout bills”. “At the national level they are partners of this national government that said it was going to destroy the State and today is unfortunately fulfilling it, harming families, especially the most vulnerable,” he stated.

De Vido explained that “heThe current situation has two components. The first is the increase in the price of wholesale energy, which since Milei took office is 2,038%.”
“The second component of the increase is the elimination of subsidies. There, the national government decided, through Resolution 90/24, to remove subsidies from 59,764 Formosa families,” he added.
According to De Vido, the National Government decided to only subsidize 350 kW per month and only 250 kW to the middle classes, “when the average consumption of a family is much higher.” Despite this, “Formosa still has the lowest kW value in the NEA. The price of Kwh in our province is $132.72, while in Chaco it is $154.14, in Corrientes $162.11 VAT and in Misiones $171.99,” he explained.
