The attack lasted 50 seconds and during its course they caused Fernando to fall to the ground where at least five attackers kicked him in the head and body, even after he was unconscious, causing his death due to massive cerebral hemorrhage. The beginning of the attack was recorded by one of the attackers, Lucas Pertossi, using his cell phone camera.

For the crime, they were sentenced to life imprisonment Máximo Thomsen, Ciro Pertossi, Enzo Comelli, Matías Benicelli and Luciano Pertossi for being considered co-authors of the homicide. For its part, Ayrton Viollaz, Blas Cinalli and Lucas Pertossi They were sentenced to 15 years in prison for being necessary participants.
