Handball World Cup
Handball player against Switzerland probably with Knorr
Juri Knorr’s knee injury is apparently not that bad. The German handball players can hope that the playmaker will play in the World Cup against Switzerland.
Germany’s handball players can hope for playmaker Juri Knorr’s appearance in the World Cup preliminary round game against Switzerland. “It basically looks positive that he will be available to us tomorrow. But we don’t know 100 percent yet. We can’t give the complete all-clear yet,” said national team manager Benjamin Chatton with a view to the duel on Friday (8.30 p.m. / ZDF and Sportdeutschland .TV) in Herning.
Knorr twisted his knee in the opening game of the World Cup against Poland (35:28) without any opposition and had to leave the floor early. “We’re very hopeful that there are no structural problems. But we don’t think it’s anything serious,” Chatton said. A stress test in the afternoon should provide the final answer as to whether Knorr can play against Switzerland.
