In his message on X, Weretilneck indicated that discretionary transfers fell by $15,085 million, “of which 86% was destined to pay teacher salaries through FONID, funds that should have been covered by the provincial budget.”
“With the resources that did not arrive, the province could have faced the two installments of the bonus ($67,157 million), canceled the Castello Plan ($83,158 million), built more than 80 hospitals like the one in Ramos Mexía, 40 schools of 1,900 square meters or delivered 1,600 homes,” protested the southern leader.
In parallel, he stated that “1,500 patrol cars could also have been acquired or the road works carried out in 2024 could have been quadrupled.”
“These data reflect the direct impact of the drop in transfers on the resources available for essential works, services and improvements in the province,” stated the leader of Juntos Somos Río Negro (JSRN).
