The Palestinian terrorist group Hamas freed the three hostages, after 15 months of being held captiveafter the Cease Fire agreed with Israel.
Video: this is how they freed the first three hostages in the hands of Hamas after the ceasefire in Gaza
It is about Romi Gonen, Doron Steinbrecher and Emily Damariwho were captured during the attacks of the October 7, 2023.
The hopes of finding them and the other hostages were never lost and are still valid in relation to the rest of those captured.
Romi Gonen, 23, was kidnapped while escaping Nova Music Festival, event that Hamas took advantage of to break out with blood and fire. This youngn was shot in the hand and taken to Gaza by terrorists.
Before being captured, she managed to call her mother, Meirav, and told her: “They shot me, Mom, and I’m bleeding. Everyone in the car is bleeding.”
A recording of the call, obtained exclusively by the British media Daily Mail, revealed the terrorists discussing whether to execute her or kidnap her.
A freed hostage said months later that Romi was seriously injured, with one hand affected by the shot.
“His hand doesn’t work. His fingers barely move and change color, and that was 10 weeks ago”he assured, according to the portal Infobae.
That was the only detail they had in relation to the 23-year-old girl, although her state of health was uncertain as a result of that injury.
The second is Doron Steinbrecher, 31, who is a veterinary nurse with dual nationality (Romanian-Israeli) who was kidnapped from her home in the Kibbutz Kfar Aza while trying to take shelter from the attack.
Steinbrecher, before being captured, sent a desperate message: “They caught me, they caught me.”
His family remained concerned about his health, as he depended on medications that he could not receive during his captivity.
In January, Hamas released a video showing Doron speaking from the Gaza tunnels alongside the hostages. Karina Ariev and Daniela Gilboa, both 19 years old.
The family was relieved to know that the nurse was alive, beyond the fear and nervous state to which she was subjected.
And the third freed hostage is Emily Damari, a 28-year-old British-Israeli woman who was kidnapped in Kfar Aza along with 37 other residents of the kibbutz.
During the attack, Damari suffered a gunshot wound to his hand and machine gun injuries to his leg.
The girl’s mother, Mandy, assured that the terrorists “They blindfolded her, put her in the back of her own car and took her back to Gaza.”
From this situation, his mother led an intense international campaign to ensure his release and had the support of many people, including the now president of the United States, Donald Trump.
