Bills defeat Ravens after drama in NFL playoffs
Ravens against Bills – it was the playoff duel with the highest expectations in the divisional round. In the end, a minimal amount of carelessness decides the game and makes a classic possible.
Because the Baltimore Ravens dropped a seemingly safe ball, there will be another duel between the Buffalo Bills and the Kansas City Chiefs on the way to the Super Bowl. The Bills defeated the Ravens 27:25 in the NFL playoffs and made it to the AFC conference finals for the first time in four years. Shortly before the end, Ravens professional Mark Andrews dropped a short pass that he had actually already caught. It would have been the equalizer for the guests.
In snowfall and minus eight degrees Celsius, Bills leader Josh Allen also won the eagerly awaited quarterback duel with Lamar Jackson. Jackson allowed himself an interception, Allen didn’t miss a pass and scored two touchdowns of his own after runs.
“The whole year it’s been like, we have no talent, we’re too small, we can’t run – I’m so proud of our defense,” Allen said of his teammates, who caused two fumbles and an interception. “I know we’re going to enjoy this one night and then turn our attention to the Chiefs.”
Bills vs. Chiefs is now a classic in the NFL
The Bills have to play against the defending champions in Kansas City next Sunday. The Bills were the only team in the league to defeat the Chiefs with the best line-up in the main round. When the Chiefs lost to Denver on the final day of the game, many regulars were rested.
There have been several epic duels between the two teams in recent years. The winner advances to the Super Bowl and plays for the most important title in American football on February 9th in New Orleans against the Washington Commanders or the Philadelphia Eagles. The Chiefs could become the first team to win the Super Bowl three times in a row.
But first it’s against the Bills, who showed a very strong side against the Ravens. The Ravens took the lead straight away, but Buffalo also scored on its first attack and took control after the first of two touchdowns by Allen.
