After threats against Havertz’s wife: 17-year-old arrested
Sophie Havertz is being seriously threatened online because of a missed penalty by her husband. This now has consequences for the underage suspect.
A 17-year-old suspect has been arrested in England after online threats against the wife of national soccer player Kai Havertz.
The 25-year-old striker Havertz from London Premier League club Arsenal FC complained about threats online after his missed penalty in the FA Cup match against Manchester United. Havertz was the only shooter to miss and the Gunners were eliminated.
Threats against Havertz’s unborn child
His pregnant wife Sophia later posted examples of messages on Instagram wishing her a miscarriage and threatening to kill the unborn child.
According to police in Hertfordshire, the teenager from the city of St. Albans was arrested on suspicion of malicious communications. He was later released. The investigations are therefore ongoing.
