PAMI confirms that these members will have 100% free medications for chronic and acute diseases

It is intended for those people who, despite discounts, cannot pay for their medications because their income does not allow it.

The Comprehensive Medical Care Program (PAMI) continues with its drug coverage program, in which a group of members has 100% free access to those prescribed for chronic and acute diseases: This is the Social Reason Subsidy.

The subsidy for social reasons is intended for PAMI members who “they are not able to pay for their discounted outpatient medications”according to the organization itself on its official digital platform.

To apply for this subsidy, it is necessary to meet a series of requirements and carry out the process at PAMI to be able to purchase the medications in question with 100% coverage.

PAMI: who accesses the subsidy for social reasons for medicines

Any member who meets the following requirements will be able to access their medications with 100% coverage for social reasons:

  • Have net income less than 1.5 minimum pension benefits. In the case of households that have a cohabitant with a Single Certificate of Disability (CUD), the total monthly income must be less than 3 minimum pension benefits.
  • Not be affiliated with a prepaid medicine system simultaneously with affiliation to the Institute.
  • Not own more than one (1) property.
  • Do not have luxury aircraft or boats.

If you do not comply with points 1 and 2 but the cost of the medications indicated for your treatment is equal to or greater than 15% of your income, the member can request 100% coverage of medications for social reasons through a exception path mechanism. To do this, PAMI will ask you:
