“We are working and the VAR is in its final stage. Construction of the VAR building of 1,200 square meters began a year ago on the AFA site, it is in its final stage and it will be finished in a month. The idea is to start in all the matches for the fourth date of the first division”indicated Beligoy in dialogue with Radio Colonia.
“The idea is to start with the VAR with the temporary booths and for the fourth date the VAR building could be used in the AFA,” added Beligoy.
The former referee also exposed the complications due to the increase in first division teams in recent seasons: “Two years ago we thought of VAR for 11 games and now there are 14. There are going to be issues to perfect, because that means more trucks, more VAR rooms”.
The fourth date of the Professional League Cup is scheduled for the weekend of February 27.
